Are they better for having met me?

Life is good— and it’s a gift.

Life is also difficult. Sometimes, extremely so.

Every day we meet people— at work, at the gas station, at the coffee shop, etc. Some of them are long-term relationships of varying degrees, and some of them are people we see for just a moment and then never interact with again.

Some of these people have just faced hard things; others will in the future. And no moment beyond the present is guaranteed.

So…

In each instance, we can ask this question:

Did I leave them better than they were when I first encountered them?

And...

Did I do everything I could to help them from an eternal perspective?
