Ride with Jesus No Matter the Cost

What would it take for you to follow Jesus if it meant losing almost everything?

In this episode of *Tribe Talk*, Mike and Jim share the powerful story of Noorah, an Iraqi refugee and graduate student at Florida State University studying physics. From a young age, Noorah had a fierce passion for learning, but she grew up under the weight of a restrictive culture, an oppressive regime, and expectations that told her to stay in her place.

She fought for the right to study, pushing through resistance from the government, her parents, and the culture around her. In the middle of that struggle, a severe illness brought her to a breaking point. It was there, in the middle of weakness and uncertainty, that Jesus came to her in a dream and everything changed.

Faced with an impossible choice between safety and obedience, between her old life and the Savior who met her personally, Noorah chose to ride with Jesus no matter the cost.

In this conversation, you’ll hear:

- How God pursued Noorah through her hunger for knowledge and truth

- The moment Jesus appeared to her and the impact it had on her faith

- The real-world cost of following Christ in a context where faith can be dangerous

- What her story reveals about courage, surrender, and trusting Jesus when the stakes are high

If your faith has started to feel comfortable, predictable, or “safe,” Noorah’s story will shake you awake. She reminds us that Jesus is worth more than reputation, security, or approval, and that following Him is still the greatest adventure a person can choose.

Listen in as Mike and Jim share the testimony of a woman who decided, once and for all, to ride with Jesus no matter the cost.
